Anyone who spends any extended periods of time with me has most likely heard me say "isn't he just so cute". As sad as it is I say it so much that when I say it now my brother will grunt and say "yes I have already agreed with you on that you don't need to keep saying it" but I really can't help myself. I just cant contain my feelings. Well I do think that my little one is the cutest thing on earth so much that our camera is probably running non stop on an average day. Well on this particular day we were teaching Shad to clap and of course I thought it was just so cute I had to record it. Enjoy

Discovering food
Today Shad enjoyed a day with mom and dad. We all enjoyed a meal at Wingers although him mom and dad enjoyed Shad enjoying his meal more than their own. "I just love life with a little ones it just makes life so fun".

Bath Time
Most of the time I give Shad his baths but on this particular day I was busy so Dan bathed him. I found it pretty humorous when Dan says "how the heck do you put this thing on this thing". Yes Dan referred to our son as "thing". When I looked up the towel was there but in no way covering Shad and he was still soaking and that is when I realized what he was talking about.

Will work for food

As most of you know am a stay at home mom and would not have it any other way. Having said that I am looking for ways to earn a little mulla while I stay at home. I hate looking for a work at home job on the internet because most of them are scams or give you the run around so I am asking if anyone has any experience with work at home jobs or has any ideas on how I can earn a little part time money. I must add that Dan is doing a superb job of providing for our family, I just want a way to earn a little spending money.

Pathetic Sick Boy
This is how pathetic Shad was while he was sick. We would put him in his Jumperoo to play and he would just sit there, he didn't even care that his cousin was pushing him around.

And this is my older sister
So Sunday evening we were sitting around playing games and Luke walked into the kitchen without the lights on and walked into this...
my older sister had put dish detergent in the dish washer. I will admit that I have done this too but in my defense I was only 10 years old.
I guess I can see how she made that mistake.

Best Buds
During the day I watch the son of a good friend of mine (Cole) so that she could go back to work, I am so grateful that I am able to stay home with Shad full time. Cole is a few months younger than Shad so it is fun to see where Shad used to be and really enjoy the stage he is at. For now they get along very well but that is mostly because they dont really know that each other exists, but we are hoping that they will become good friends. Anyway the other day they were laying next to each other and Shad decided that he wanted Cole's binky and that he was able to take it, so he did. It was funny because Cole didn't seem to care in the least (which is stranged because his binky is his best friend) and because Shad didn't seem to know what to do with it once he had it, he just wanted to take it because he could, if that is any insight into his personality I think we are in for some tough times.

Dan got a job!!!

A few months ago Dan put in an application for Utah County corrections and after a very extensive evaluation process they came back and said they would love to hire him but they did not have the funding to do so at that time. Well about a week ago Dan received a call in regaurds to an offer of employment with Utah County corrections. Dan will stay in school at SLCC utnil he finishes in July but start working for Utah County in April. Because he is putting himself through the Police Academy he will be able to slide right over to a patrol passition as soon as one opens up. We are so excited for this opportunity eventhough this means we will be living in Utah County for much longer than we had hoped, its a good thing we have a lot of family here because that makes it worth sticking around.

Gotta love Mimi's
One of our favorite places to eat is Mimi's Cafe and this last time I went with my aunt and sister we decided to let Shad join in the fun, little did we know that he ended up being the funnest part of lunch, Im sure all parents have found that everything is more fun with little ones. Shad has now learned to sit up on his own so he could finally sit in a high chair while out in a restaurant which is really nice. When we got there and sat down the waitress gave us our menus including a children's menu, really, a children's menu he is only 7 months old and hardly eats baby food let alone mac n cheese or corn dogs, but I didnt say anything just laughed about it. Well then when she brought our drinks she brought this for Shad to "hold him over" as she put it. I wonder what it is exactly that we are holding him over for, this is a freaking meal, that is if he will eat it.
Well to our surprise he did eat some of it. He really loved the orange and pretty much devoured it.
The Cheerios on the other hand were not such a big hit but his reaction to them was priceless.
We were also thoroughly entertained by the bib fail that was displayed when Shad showed us just how useless (and dangarous I must add) plastic bibs are.

Separation Anxiety :(
Lately Shad has been showing signs of separation anxiety. At first it was just when Dan or I would leave the house and leave Shad with a sitter. He would cry and look around wondering where we went. Then it would start up again when we got home and didnt pick him up fast enough. Well now it is full blown to where he cries every time one of us walks out of the room even if the other one is still in there with him. He looks so pathetic when he cries too, it is so sad, and I feel bad that he is so upset but I need to get things done around the house so I just go about my business and sometimes he stops crying because he sees that I am coming back and sometimes he keeps on crying. I really hope that it gets better soon, at least to where I can move around the house without him going into histerics, only time will tell.

Back to school...
...back to school, to show my dad I'm not a fool. I've got lunch bag packed my shoes tied tight, I hope I dont get in a fight. haha jk. Anyway Dan did go back to school this week. He started the police academy at SLCC. The program takes about 6 months to complete and hopefully when he is finished he will be able to choose which police department he wants to work for. So far he loves the training and feels that he is in the top of his class, which came as no surprise to me considering all the training he has already recieved in the military. I am so happy for him in finding something he really enjoys doing.
