Well for Christmas Shad got a few Elmo toys which he seemed to love at first but he still prefers his diapers, I really dont get it. He will stand on the chair in front of the bookshelf where we keep his diapers and take them all down then sort through them and take all the ones with Elmo on them to the hall or the LuvSac or the hammock, it is so cute. Sometimes he even asks to have them in his crib when he goes to sleep. One day I was going upstairs to hang out with Angie and he came running to go with and realized he didn't have any diapers so he ran back saying "melmo", grabbed a few diapers and ran back to me, he even made it all the way up the stairs with them in tote, I was very impressed. Now he has resorted to throwing a fit when I put a new diaper on him because he thinks that I am using his toys the wrong way. This is getting crazy.

Christmas at Home
Since we flew to Sacramento we decided to open our presents at home after we got back. Shad is still not quite getting the idea but it was still a lot of fun. My sister (who was in Uganda at the time) wanted to watch us, mostly Shad, open presents. Well considering how much he adores his Aunt "Gecka" he just wanted to talk to her and kept wandering back to the computer as we are trying to get him to open and play with his new toys. Shad has developed a love for Elmo in the past couple of month which is funny because he had never seen Elmo on TV until about 3 weeks ago so he learned who we wast from his leash and diapers, which he still drags around the house like they are a bunch of little toys. Dan says we should have saved ourselves some money and bought him a box of pampers. The highlights of Christmas were Shad got an Elmo tricycle from Mom and Dad and a talking Elmo from Aunt Penny. I really wished we did not have so much snow on the ground so Shad could try out his trike but as it turns out he actually gets a little scared when it moves so he just sits on it and pushes the buttons that make it talk and light up. Dan got me a much desired VitaMix well actually I ordered it but he approved it a guess, we are not very traditional when it comes to gift giving. Dan got new tow mirrors on his truck.
Im still not sure if Shad enjoyed his gifts or the peanuts that my gift was packed in better.
